Foodie? Newton has you covered. Sycamore, Little Big Diner, and Buttonwood are just a few of the dining hot spots that have people buzzing. Even the neighborhood family friendly restaurant will elevate your tastebuds. In Newton, grocery shopping moves beyond status quo: from the family-owned Waban Market, to internationally-focused BazaAr Supermarket, to Whole Foods, residents can satisfy any food craving. As for coffee shops? No matter if you’re looking for a Starbucks or your local java joint, Newton will make sure you stay caffeinated.
Brookline

#1 in Massachusetts and #10 in the United States, Brookline has it all. Choose between the urban walkable centers of Coolidge Corner and Brookline Village, or the leafy green pastoral feel of Chestnut Hill- Brookline is a homeowners paradise. From high end shopping at Bloomingdales to the local ramen noodle house, there’s always something for everyone. First settled in 1638, Brookline is surrounded by Boston on three sides. With a diverse population of just under 60,000 you get a small town neighborhood feel, but with a cosmopolitan attitude. The school system is highly regarded and the community is welcoming. There’s plenty of T and bus routes that take you straight downtown to a Sox game, as well as easy route 9 and 95 access.
On a weekend you can walk to your neighborhood coffee shop, and head over to one of the many parks. Take a leisurely stroll and browse the world famous Brookline Booksmith before heading out for dinner at one of Brookline’s many bars or restaurants. Pick a craving, any craving. MetroWest
The MetroWest area covers the vast region west of Boston with each town having its own distinct identity and landscape. Urban, rural, suburban – it’s a mix of it all.
Within MetroWest, there is an incredible amount of business, technology, entertainment, and shopping to keep you busy, and there are thousands of acres of preserved land with several state parks and wildlife sanctuaries for when you need to calm yourself in nature.
This historical area played instrumental roles in the American and Industrial Revolutions and its residents are proud of their deep roots. You’ll find things like one of the oldest continually operating inns in America as well as leading edge technology companies; the oldest species of native plants, historic homes dating back to the Salem witch trials, amazing brewpubs, and the Christa McAuliffe Center for Integrated Science Learning. It’s also home to the Boston Marathon starting line!
A true intersection of the oldest and newest, MetroWest is just a 20- to 40-minute drive from Boston or Worcester. With major arteries crisscrossing the region, you’re never far from what you like: recreation in all seasons, sophisticated amenities and services, upscale shopping and dining, a range of cultural attractions, and adorable New England town charm!
